How we check
Every retailer on this site sends us a product feed. Feeds are useful — and often wrong. So every night we test every listing, and take down anything that fails.
Is it still for sale?
We open the retailer’s own product page. If it has vanished — or quietly redirects to a category page, which is how most shops “delete” a product — the listing comes off this site that night.

Does the photo load?
We download every image. We reject errors, non-images, and tiny placeholder files that report success but show nothing. When the feed’s photo is dead, we fetch the real one from the retailer’s page.

What’s the price tonight?
We record tonight’s price for every size and colour. A “price drop” badge only appears when we’ve seen the higher price ourselves, within the last 30 days.

One listing per bike
Retailer feeds list every size and colour as a separate product, and some shops publish overlapping feeds — so a single mountain bike can arrive as thirty-odd near-identical entries. We fold them back into one listing, with every size and its price laid out on the bike’s page.
Tonight that turned 1,532 feed entries into 201 bikes.
Complete bikes only
Cycling feeds are mostly parts: tyres, wheels, bags, aerobars. We filter by product, category and brand so that everything here is a bicycle you can ride away. When something slips through, we tighten the filter and re-run it over the whole catalogue.
What we don’t do
- We don’t take payment for placement. The default order is cheapest first.
- We don’t invent reviews, ratings or “editor’s picks”.
- We don’t show a price drop we haven’t seen with our own checks.
- We don’t keep a bike up because it earns us commission. If it fails, it goes.
Where it can still go wrong
We check once a night; shops change prices during the day. A bike that sold out at lunchtime will still be here until tonight’s check. The retailer’s checkout is always the final word — we’ll only ever be a few hours behind it.
